Walls, paintings, questions

Day 56. At the art museum with the art historians and Eszter Szalczer. Kristoffer Arvidsson kindly showed us the exhibition "The Universal Language: Post War Abstract Art" he had curated: https://goteborgskonstmuseum.se/det-universella-spraket/. Useful catalouge can go into teaching. Still grappling with that past generation and its obsession with abstraction. Why the quest? So much tension, so much pressure, so much art for the few, the brave, for the men, and a few women. Who has the right to claim a universal language for art? Relationships that are only involving colour and form? Scenograpic dimensions? Embodying a poor chicken in pain, house, woman, and mutulation?
